NPDES Guide
NPDES stands for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System. The NPDES was created by the Clean Water Act of 1972. NPDES regulates the pollution by dischargers into the waters of the USA. Under a NPDES permit program, a discharger is allowed and limited to discharge pollutants. Generally, the EPA authorizes the states to implement a form of NPDES to comply with the Clean Water Act. NPDES regulates stormwater and wastewater.
